Water dog
- A sailor, esp. an old sailor; an old salt.
- A dog accustomed to the water, or trained to retrieve waterfowl. Retrievers, waters spaniels, and Newfoundland dogs are so trained.
- The menobranchus.
- A small floating cloud, supposed to indicate rain.
